Boot the Boss - rules and regulations – 2011 to 2012
All rules and scoring is determined by the Committee; their decision is always final.
1.0 Manager selection
1.1 Select ten football managers who you think will leave their positions this season.
1.2 Managers should be selected in order, with your favourite occupying first position, moving down to tenth position in preference
1.3 Managers may only be selected from clubs from the following leagues:
English Premier League, English League Championship, English Leagues 1 & 2, Scottish Premier League International managers may also be selected from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
1.4 Only managers in full time positions at the start of the game are applicable for selection.
1.5 Caretaker managers and co-managers may not be selected.
2.0 Scoring rules (See Appendix One for Scoring Points)
2.1 Managers leaving an eligible club through retirement are not entitled to score points.
2.2 If a manager departs multiple clubs during the course of the game, points and bonus points may be awarded again.
2.3 A manager may only be applicable to score further points, if they join another team eligible for selection.
2.4 Managers joining other eligible teams as permanent manager will score maximum points on all counts if they depart again.
2.5 Managers may only score points during the course of the game (see 3.0 for game times and dates)
2.6 If a selected manager leaves before the game starts, an eligible replacement may be selected.
2.7 Team selections may be altered or changed at any time before the start of the game.
2.8 All team entries at the start of the game are final.
3.0 Game duration rules
3.1 The game begins on 1st August 2011 at 00.00hrs
3.2 The game ends at midnight on 31st May 2012.
3.3 Managers departing outside of the game window are not eligible to score points.
4.0 Winning player declaration and rules
4.1 The person with the MOST TOTAL POINTS will be declared the winner.
4.3 In the event of a total points tie, the person with the MOST NUMBER OF SACKS is declared the winner.
4.4 In the event of total points and total sacks being tied, MOST STANDARD POINTS scored will next take preference, followed by the date of the EARLIEST RECORDED SACKING.
5.0 Entry
5.1 All teams entries should be sent no later than Midnight on 1st August 2011 to the committee via email ( Admin@boottheboss.com )

A) Standard scoring

C) Circumstance bonus points
Bonus points shall be awarded to managers departing under the following circumstances…
Team expulsion from league 30 points Resigns for personal reasons 15 points Straight sacking 25 points Mutual consent 10 points Resigns for football reasons 20 points Demoted or role change 5 points Ill Health 25 points Contract Expires 5 points Death 30 points Pitch Side Injury or Illness resulting in death 100 Points
D) League selection bonus points
Bonus points will be awarded to managers departing from differing leagues or teams…
English Premier League 1 point English Championship 3 points Scottish Premier League 1 point English League One 4 points Any of the International teams 2 points English League Two 5 points
E) Other bonus points
· Any player scoring a hat-trick of departing managers (either 3, 6 or 9) will be awarded 30 bonus points PER hat-trick
· The first player to register a departing manager will be awarded 5 bonus points.
· Any manager leaving on their birthday will be awarded 10 bonus points.
· Any manager leaving during the festive week will also be awarded 5 bonus points (between Dec 24th – Dec 31st)
